Health Economics Outcomes Research Manager (HEOR)

(HEOR) Health Economics & Outcomes Research Manager -Boston. The Health Economics & Outcomes Research Manager will be responsible for all the deliverable aspects of existing HEOR projects. An ability to execute both strong technical skills while also being able to contribute to the overall strategy are key in this role. We are building a new practice area where you will be the leader who will build out a team. Our clients are among the most successful firms in the industry and include a mix of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostic companies. An ability to be client facing will be key in aspect of the role. Job Role: * Develop pharmacoeconomic strategy across multi-disciplinary clients (marketing, outcomes, business analytics, medical affairs). * Design and conduct economic evaluations including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost consequence, and burden of disease studies and budget impact models. * Design and conduct decision analytic models including Markov models and simulation integrating both prospective clinical trial data and retrospective survey and insurance claims data. * Experience creating/supporting AMCP dossier creation. * Creation of budget impact models for payer organizations. * Function as a thought leader, and present research findings, including dissemination at scientific meetings and publication of original research in peer reviewed journals. * Manage health outcomes projects and assure delivery of high-quality work on time. * Collaborate well with others. * Proven ability to lead and help develop junior staff members. Requirements: The HEOR Manager should have a strong understanding of healthcare policy and the reimbursement environment in the US and key ex-US markets, as it effects product development and commercialization. Demonstrated ability to design and conduct economic analysis on community based effectiveness studies related to policymakers. Candidate should be able to analyze large, complex health data sets using SAS software, conduct statistical analysis, use Excel, Access or other software to model cost effectiveness and create decision analysis models. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
