Health and Safety Officer

As Health and Safety Manager for this well-known outdoor advertising company, you will manage, maintain and improve health and safety across the organisation. You will ensure the safe management of the maintenance and instillation of their advertising assets across various public spaces, including rail and underground stations in London. You will lead compliance to legislation and codes of practice and rollout the health and safety policy to all employees and 3rd party contractors

Duties will include;

- Review, update and maintain risk assessments, method statements and work package plans.
- Develop and undertake site safety audits to meet legislative and company standards on project sites
- Conduct training on Health and Safety policy
- Work with all departments or sub-contractors on their obligations and manager non-compliance
- Manage the organisation safety score with local authorities
- Manage and consult on environmental hazards
- Manage a Health and Safety budget and incident reporting

To be effective in this role you must have:

- experience managing and implementing health and safety strategies on the rail network and/or London Underground working on large engineering projects in an M&E remit.
- Implementation of systems, eg ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001
- Implementation and control of Policies and Procedures
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar HS&E role within the Rail Sector
- Experience in implementing a behavioural safety programme
- NEBOSH
