Health and Safety Manager

From our world class manufacturing facility site at Machrihanish, on the west coast of Scotland, we provide "ready to install" tower solutions for the onshore and offshore wind energy market. We employ around 130 people from Campbeltown and the Kintyre area all of whom are dedicated to providing a high quality service to our valued clients. Due to continued and anticipated growth, we are currently recruiting an experienced Health and Safety Manager. Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for the effective management of the Health, Safety and Environmental performance. Working closely with all departments you will develop and maintain a positive safety culture and take the lead on the overall safety strategy. You'll actively promote and carry out regular onsite inspections and carry out investigations into accidents, ill health, dangerous occurrences and near miss incidents and ensure that appropriate reporting action is taken. You'll also develop, maintain and improve policies, procedures, guidelines and advisory bulletins ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation (existing and new), regulatory and industry guidance and the company requirements. Other responsibilities will include: * Monitor, evaluate and review changes to legislation * Continually assess H&S identifying areas for improvement and development * Ensure that robust risk assessments and management systems are in place * Engage with senior stakeholders, producing board level reports and presentations You will have the following skills and experience: * Have NEBOSH diploma or equivalent * Significant experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment In return we offer a competitive basic salary and benefits package, as well as significant investment in your career development.
