An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator to work with a global organisation in the Cambridge area on a 12 month contract. The person fulfilling the role will be supporting as necessary the work undertaken by the Senior EH&S Specialist in relation to Environmental Health and Safety at the EAME office sites. They will be required to provide any necessary support and assistance with health and safety arrangements, advice and guidance on health and safety to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company standards and local legal requirements in health and safety across EAME. Essential Duties and Job Functions

Support and advise local EAME sites with health and safety programs.
Provide assistance in EAME EH&S programs and initiatives including EH&S campaigns.
Coordinate visits to EAME Sites and assist with audit programs as necessary.
Monitor and maintain records for EAME site EH&S data.
Assist with the production of reports on site EH&S status across EAME.
Quarterly EH&S metrics.
Incident investigation for EAME sites.
Assist in establishing trends in key performance indicators across the sites.
Occasional travel to sites as required.
Undertake workplace health and safety inspections.
Assist with the production, updating and maintenance of Business Continuity and Emergency Management Plans.
Assist with the collection of EH&S performance data from EAME sites for Corporate Metrics.
Assist with International Environmental/Sustainability initiatives as required.
Coordinate and support local sites to develop local EH&S Induction programs including EH&S Employee Induction Guides.
Assist with EH&S content for EAME site Webpages.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Proactive and enthusiastic individual with commitment to improving the health and safety culture.
Ability to work autonomously with a "hands on" approach and solve problems.
Proficient at collecting and presenting data in a clear and understandable format.
A Team Player essential.
Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate/Equivalent or Minimum of 2/3 years relevant experience in a Health and Safety role.
Second language an advantage - Asian languages of benefit.
Previous knowledge/experience of laboratory safety of benefit.
