Head of Talent Management - Strategy, Attraction, Retention, Development - Contract - 18 months -Manchester.  

My client are one of the UK's largest and leading Financial Services organisations; they are creating an independent, stand alone bank which is expected to divest in 2015. In the run up to this date, they are looking to engage the services of a Talent Management Consultant/Head of Talent Management for January 2014 start contract work. This is an exceptional opportunity to join and help build the bank and shape its future. The successful candidate will help create a proposition to ensure the business can attract, engage and develop people and build an outstanding and market leading bank for the future. You will also help embed this strategy into the organisation. 

Working with Business leaders and HR teams the Consultant will help develop and understand the new people strategy, career and reward structures together with people capabilities and then shape and implement an aligned, cohesive proposition. You will also be requited to implement strategy after it has been defined. 

The Talent Management strategy, approach and methodology will be defined and understood and include:
Talent Attraction
Candidate selection and assessment
Career pathways and development
Employee engagement
Retention
Talent analysis and deployment

You will help define a clear understanding of our current talent situation, strengths and weaknesses
Ensure talent gaps are identified and action plans to address gaps are implemented
Ensure the business are able to prioritise, monitor and report progress in closing our capability gaps to Exco monthly
Understand the risks of any unaddressed gaps at any time including risk to the P&L and to our employee and customer metrics

We are welcoming applications from those with experience outside of the Financial Services arena. As this is a new bank, a new strategy and a new proposition, we welcome those with a variety of sector experience. An occupational [psychology background would be beneficial].
