Head of SOX (Governance & Controls, SOX, Compliance, Bank)

Our financial services client is currently looking for Head of SOX for initial 3 months contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall delivery of SOX, including management of the teams based in the UK and India.

Essential skills and experience:
*Knowledge and experience of controls within financial Services.
*Ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework
*Overall understanding of 'minimum standards' for SOx and control issues reporting
*Good understanding of the financial services industry, its control environment and structure of a bank's financial statements.
*Knowledge of investment banking control framework and best practice.
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills
*Professional accountancy qualification - ACCA/ACA, CIMA
*Controls experience in an audit (internal or external) setting within the financial services industry.
*Team management experience for teams of more than 5 people.
*Excellent stakeholder management skills

This is initially a 3 months contract paying £550pd based in London.
