Head of Clinical Operations / Senior Director Clinical Operations: Oncology (Early Phase)

A growing and innovative Pharmaceutical organisation with a leading edge oncology pipeline at the core of their business are searching for a Head of / Senior Director of Clinical Operations.

This is an exciting time within the organisations evolution, you will have full autonomy working with the VP of clinical development to not only advice and be responsible for the current and future Oncology clinical trials but also define the clinical operations infrastructure, business processes and SOPs.

Many of the senior management in this organisation have held high ranking positions within large bio-pharmas and have joined to implement a proactive approach within a company who welcome a voice that will challenge the norm to ensure best practice. Due to the lack of "red tape" in this organisation you will be laying the foundations of a truly special infrastructure within a leading edge organisation and Clinical operations team.

Position overview

The head of / senior director of clinical operations reports directly to the VP of clinical development however will have autonomy to define clinical operations and be the proactive "go to" for all improvements and strategy for all clinical trials in with a focus on Oncology:

Responsibilities:

Clinical Development planning, strategy, protocol investigator brochure development, regulatory strategy, authoring of abstracts and study publications, budget development and clinical timeline management. The Senior Director / Director Clinical Operations will also have ownership of data mining and ongoing data reviews to ensure protocol goals are met wile overseeing multiple programs, vendors and teams.

Key skills / required experience:

12 - 15 years clinical operations and development experience within the CRO, Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry, heavy past or current experience leading Oncology clinical trials.

Team leading and management

Ability to partner and advice vendors, team members, board level members and investigators, wile building strong long lasting working relationship.

Excellent project management skills

Willingness to travel

A strong desire to lead from the front being responsible for the macro vision and delivery of clinical operations however keeping a handle on (and being involved) with the micro detail that is required when working n a forward moving growing Pharma environment.
