Head of Schools Finance, Accountant, Schools, Dedicated Schools Grant

HEAD OF SCHOOLS FINANCE, ACCOUNTANT, SCHOOLS, DEDICATED SCHOOLS GRANT (DSG), CONTRACT, SOUTH WEST LONDON

My client is currently seeking an experienced Head of Schools Finance for an initial 3 month contract to be based from their offices in South West London.

Responsible to the Head of Finance for Education and Social Services for the provision of school and special educational needs budgets, school financial systems, financial advice to schools and monitoring to ensure compliance with all Council and statutory requirements

To be considered for this post you must have the following skills and experience;

- Educated to degree level or equivalent - desirable
- Hold a recognised Professional Accountancy Qualification and extensive relevant experience - Essential
- Significant experience in a schools finance service in a local authority (at least 2 years senior experience of school finance including DSG funding blocks and funding regulations) - Essential
- Excellent knowledge of all relevant legislation related to schools finance - Essential
- Secure knowledge of current national policy developments in the broader field of education, schools and children's services.

Please note that it is essential that you have experience working within a similar role, within schools to be considered for this position.
