Head of Sanctioning Governance - Risk Investment Swaps Caps Collars Excel

MAIN FUNCTION

To provide strong governance around the various sanctioning forums for the project.

MAIN DUTIES

INTEREST RATE HEDGING RESOLUTION PROJECT SANCTIONING GOVERNANCE LEAD

- Review of existing process and setting a strong governance around the internal Sanctioning forums for the miss-selling of IRHP ensuring that governance is adhered to in all cases and that cases are at the correct forum;
- Running the RSCs (highest sanctioning level);
- Review of existing process and setting strong governance for the approval of cases that are required to go to a Case Management Committee with our independent reviewers;
- Setting of a governance and process for the review and sanctioning of Consequential Loss as it relates to the cases;
- Working with remediation and with finance to set the appropriate discretion limits for Consequential loss and ensuring that these are adhered to;
- Guidance for the remediation workstream on the most effective way to run the various sanctioning forums;
- Ensuring the correct agreed outcome is recorded and stored appropriately for audit evidence;
- Managing staff on a day to day basis to help achieve the above

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

- Experience of working in a Risk Environment in an Investment Bank;
- Ability to work well under pressure and is proactive;
- Ability to communicate at all levels within a large organisation;
- Strong organisational skills, ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously and deliver within tight deadlines (multi-tasking and prioritisation);
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience of SharePoint;
- Good Product knowledge, particularly Swaps, Caps, Collars and FRLs
- Previous Barclays experience;
- Experience of working on projects and/or providing support to a very large team;
