Head of Quality Assurance - Biotech

As the Head of Quality Assurance you will lead all GMP related matters to the Site as well as act as a point of contact with customers with the respect to GMP and Quality Matters. You will also represent the Quality Group at Senior Management meetings and provide a Quality updates to the joint management team when requested.

Responsibilities include:
* To work within the quality department and ensure that efficient and user - friendly quality systems are established and maintained in compliance with current regulatory and industry best practice guidelines
* To work closely with operations and project management to ensure that the scheduling of work within quality supports project timelines
* To assist project teams or clients in meeting their quality and temporal targets to ensure successful completion of projects
* To supply suitable comment, justification and data in order to assist the Director of Quality to make recommendations on the suitability of drugs and formulations for toxicity and clinical studies
* To work in close co-operation with operations, analytics, customers and contract laboratories to optimise processes, help solve problems and assure quality
* Provide and co-ordinate on-the-job and external training within the quality team to develop staff
* To manage the staff within the quality assurance department and perform appraisals
* To co-ordinate / host client and regulatory audits,
* To drive the generation of audit responses and the timely implementation of corrective actions
* Approve a range of quality documents (such as procedures, master batch records, completed batch records, laboratory methods, deviations and change controls) or to delegate these approvals to suitably qualified members of the quality assurance department
* Act as site QP releasing commercial products
