Head of Programme - Architecture (Lognec)

In this position you will be Deputy Programme Head and branch leader for strategy, architecture, including support to existing and future operations.

You will deliver step change improvements in MOD Logistic Network Enabled Capability (Log NEC) through the implementation of new information services, the convergence of current business processes and the rationalisation of information systems aligned with enterprise level information requirements.

ARCHITECTURE

* Through the Chief Architect and the Architecture Team, ensure the supply of effective and coherent logistic information services across Defence in accordance with the Capability Management Plan (CMP) developed with Cap C4ISR (Sponsor), ACDS Log Ops (Log Process Architect) and MOD CIO-Chief Tech Offr (MoD IS coordinator).

* Through the Architecture Team review, assess, evaluate and approve the design of new or changed Information Services and Systems, ensuring industry best practices are Embedded in the design and delivery of new or changed Information Systems/Services

* Through the Architecture Team, establish appropriate system and service design standards which govern the use, maintenance, support, integrity, resilience, security, integration, performance and capacity of new or Changed systems and data management. Strategy

* Working closely with Log NEC Delivery Partner, Boeing Defence UK, support Log NEC's transformation to a business architected, service-oriented business, within DE&S Material Strategy Manpower Control Total targets by 31 Mar 15.

* Represent Hd Log NEC at strategic level meetings, including Defence Logistics Steering Group, Defence Logistic Working Group, Redeployment and Support to Transition policy meeting, DE&S 2* Info Bd, Joint Information Group and UK Council for Electronic Business as required.

* Deputise for Hd Log NEC as required.
