Head Of Procurement/Procurement Manager

In this Head of Procurement/Procurement Manager role you will be reporting directly to the CIO. Being the Head of Procurement/Procurement Manager you own all Procurement activities. You will be developing and establishing the Strategy, develop the needed Governance and Processes, and provide the leadership and subject matter expertise to execute the strategic buying as well as ongoing vendor management. A good understanding of procuring and sourcing IT services as well as software licenses is essential.

Main Responsibilities of HEAD of Procurement ´/Procurement Manager
-Build and develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders as well as key suppliers and customers.
-Defination and implementation of global procurement strategy, policies and processes
-Measure and manage vendors through ongoing vendor management throughout the entire product life cycle.
-Responsible for all aspects of forecasting and buying services, licenses and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
-Continuous improvement of procurement processes to increase quality of suppliers while lowering costs and risk exposures.

Profile for the HEAD of Procurement/Procurement Manager
-5 to 10 years experience as a procurement manager
-Experience of managing procurement tasks in an IT environment ideally in engineering industry
-Successful track record of setting new procurement/vendor policies and processes at a global level
-You have worked with SAP Procurement interface
-Relevant technical and business educational credentials
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills
-Fluent in English and ideally in German
