Head of PMO - Portfolio Delivery

PMO/Programme Manager/Project Manager/Business Analyst/Governance Lead/HR Programme/Project Lead/Portfolio/Risk/Planner/Contract/Bristol

PMO director required to join our financial services client in Bristol. This will be for an initial 6 months, paying £400 - £500 per day with the possibility of an extension.

As PMO lead you will have a proven track record of heading up the PMO for significant complex programmes or portfolios. You will have a strong focus on governance and be responsible for the implementation of a new HR programme.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a large team to provide governance, reporting, finance, planning and support services for a diverse portfolio of programmes.

You will be a leading point of contact embedding PMO methodologies, tools and processes ensuring that evolving business needs are addressed effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Management of a diverse portfolio of programmes understanding of risks and dependencies

* Delivering a consistent governance model ensuring methodologies and standards are adhered to

* Overall responsibility for the planning approach the ensuring the programme delivers in line with organisational requirements

* Ensuring overall resourcing for programmes ensuring project needs are met

* Working with finance teams to ensure cost and benefit tracking takes place

* Influence and inspire key stakeholders, whilst continuingly driving change

* Constant evaluation of risk

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Experience in managing large cross- functional teams

* Proven track record of influencing senior level management and stakeholders

* Demonstrable success in running the PMO for a large transformation programmes

* Strong commercial awareness as well as having the ability to negotiate contracts for delivery of products and services

* Exceptional written and communication skills
