We are seeking qualified and experienced education professionals that want to make a difference overseas. Our clients range from private international schools and leading universities to language institutes and training facilities.

A private international school require a Head of Physics for September start.
The department has two well-equipped laboratories with ICT access and access to other science rooms with similar facilities. Each room is also fitted with a network connection, computer and projector. The department is supported by a number of technicians who are managed by the Head of Department.
The successful applicant for the Head of Physics will lead the department team in the continual process of analysis, development and improvement both in terms of curriculum provision and delivery. Examination results at GCSE are consistently above the school average (The school average is above the National Average for the UK) and the suitable candidate will continue to build on the current successes at GCSE and further develop the AS/A2 results in the future.
Student take up at GCSE is nearly 50% of the year and at least 40% of these carry the subject over into Year 12. Many of our students go on to study a degree where Physics is valuable to their further studies and attend universities in South Africa, US and the UK. The Head of Physics will be expected to put in place strategies to raise still further the number of students selecting the subject at both Key Stage 4 and 5. The post will provide plenty of challenge with a variety of development opportunities.

Roles and responsibilities;
• Integrating Assessment for Learning into its schemes of work;
• Using data for tracking and monitoring of students;
• Working with the Learning Support Department to develop the provision for students with special educational needs;
• Working with the Learning Support Department to empower Gifted and Talented students;
• Use of assessment to raise attainment, particularly at Key Stage 5;
• Raising the profile of Chemistry still further in the school.

Requirements;
• Good degree or equivalent in Physics
• PGCE
• Experience of teaching Physics to GCSE, AS and A2 level
• Experience of leading a department or having responsibility within the department
• Experience at using baseline data
• Experience at writing differentiated SoW that include National Curriculum levels
• Experience of curricular development
• Evidence of systematic professional development
