Head of Pension Risk Management

Our client, a financial services organisation, has a requirement for a Head of Pension Risk Management, reporting directly to the Head of Capital Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, quantifying and reporting pension risk.

- The role will assist the Capital Management modelling team in determining the methodology and assumptions for calculating capital requirements in relation to pension risk, carrying out or overseeing the calculations and reporting results internally. 

The successful candidate will:

- develop a pension risk management plan for the organisation, to include assessments and recommendations around asset and liability strategy.
- identify and monitor risks associated with the Defined Benefit Pension scheme, and create a framework for reporting of management information
- the development of a management view on the funding position of the pension scheme and incorporating into internal forecasting models

The successful candidate will either be a qualified pensions actuary or come from a risk management background (not change management related) within a pension management environment.
