Head of Media & Digital Media

Eingestellt von Blue Pelican

Gesuchte Skills: Client, Sales, Social media

Projektbeschreibung

Now for something really unique, working for a business who are incredibly creative and is challenging you to raise the bar, leading their media strategy in what is an environment with a strong heritage in ATL, but with a massive growth in digital media spend.

As the Head of Media, you will be leading a team of 6 people who execute the strategy behind the spend of an £80m media budget. The media strategy is executed across both brand and direct response work, so it's important you have experience of both these aspects.

This kind of opportunity comes round very rarely and is a chance to become part of a large, fun-loving team at the very heart of one of Britain's most exciting brands who represent innovation in a market that's not seen anything really 'new' for around 6 years.

This is being hired as a maternity cover contract initially for 9 months. If it extends it will go to 12. Right now there is no clear inclination as to whether if could go permanent. However the business is growing and with lofty goals and ambitions for their short-term future, so who knows what other opportunities may arise.

Creativity is at the heart of this function. It's not hierarchical, in fact the Head of Media reports to the Director of Brand who is known for mucking in with his team, irrespective of whether the work is beneath his 'pay grade' and as such that is the expectation for you coming into this role too. Although everyone has their job, they're all capable and willing to muck in to ensure the job gets done, and done right. It is really collegiate.

The business is sector agnostic to your background, you can come from agency or client side operations. However you've got to be comfortable working in a really creative environment, be seen as a credible leader who is able to successfully demonstrate your leadership through teams, being able to handle to sort of ambiguity a creative environment can bring.

This is a multi-brand environment, the strategy you develop needs to ensure media and sponsorship plans position each brand appropriately to compete but not cannibalise each other, yet provide an integrated and aligned brand story across all media channels.

You will also be managing all external agencies and suppliers and be responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of service and value for money is delivered.

You must have extensive experience across both brand AND direct response media, including TV planning, buying, affiliates, search, print, etc. If you've got a heavier slant towards digital channels, that might serve you well. Your work will align closely to ensuring sales objectives are met through the effective delivery of the media mix, driving footfall and customer acquisition.

You will also be dealing with Social Media, namely partnerships with social platforms like Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, etc. setting the media strategy and allocating budgets for each of the businesses brands. However its execution is managed by the digital teams themselves.

Despite being a maternity cover engagement, this role has a lot to deliver really is an amazing opportunity and I'm sure as soon as you hear who the company is, you will be similarly enthused at what this opportunity can represent to you and your career.
