Head of Learning Services

HEAD OF LEARNING SERVICES required to work for a large telecommunications company based in Berkshire.

The Head of Learning Services will work with the Director of Talent and the Senior Leadership Team to lead the learning design and the central learning support functions for the achievement of Business goals.

This is a significant leadership role which has overall responsibility for developing the learning design strategy and framework of training programmes across the Company, working innovatively to drive toward a blended learning strategy that wholly supports the culture and future capability needs.

Responsibilities of Head of Learning Services:
Lead the development of a blended learning solutions strategy and framework
Provide leadership and performance management of the learning services team to meet key objectives/deliverables
Act as a key leader within P&P driving a one team culture
Work with Business stakeholders, particularly Function Heads to maximise subject matter expertise into quality training solutions
Be accountable for the core curriculum of learning solutions and training courses for Head Office sites
Optimise the potential of LMS to support capability goals
Collaborate with Head of Leadership and Management and Head of Channel Training to ensure all programmes follow quality design strategy and are fit for purpose.
Lead the L budget management and relationship management
Manage budget and meet all KPIs and develop and comply with department governance.
Support the Director of Talent by leading and managing governance processes for the entire function.

The successful Head of Learning Services must:
Understand and have implemented best practice employee engagement programmes and processes
Understand and have designed Learning Frameworks and programmes in a corporate environment
Strength and experience in internal consulting skills
Credibility at a senior level and ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders enthusiastically
Strong programme management and organisational skills and is proficient in planning, organising and managing projects.
Excellent people management skills, including evidence and experience of coaching and performance management of a team
