Head of Joint Commissioning

Our London based Local Authority Client is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Joint Commissioning To lead joint commissioning projects for children and young people for the Council with the aim of driving up performance, securing good value for money and improving outcomes.

Main Duties

* To provide strategic leadership and management of outcomes-focussed commissioning for services for children and young people in order to deliver the agreed priorities within the CYPP;
* To lead and manage the RBG commissioning team, personalised commissioning team and CCG commissioning officers across two sites to ensure that they work effectively to commission children's services;
* To lead the personalised commissioning of placements for Looked After Children to deliver improved outcomes and value for money
* To develop with other borough leads the arrangements for pan London and sub regional commissioning
* To lead projects for DMT that review commissioning and spot purchase arrangements across the Service and devise new approaches that deliver improved value for money

Candidates will have Experience of the following

* Relevant experience at a senior level leading commissioning in a social care/education/health care environment.

* Relevant experience of senior and strategic leadership in services for children, young people and families.

* Successful experience at a senior level of leading a service, including the management of workloads, managing change, performance management and staff sickness absence management.

* Experience of stakeholder engagement and management
