Head of Integrated Commissioning - London

Head of Integrated Commissioning London Contract - 500 +

The Head of Integrated Commissioning will play a leading role in supporting all Schools and Childrens Services Departments through a period of great transition by providing expertise, guidance and leadership in the field of Commissioning and developing the Commissioning Team as an innovative, flexible and dynamic resource that fully supports this requirement.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the team responsible for commissioning a wide range of universal, targeted and specialist services.

The team will commission services relating to (but not limited to):

- Social care services for Looked After Children and care leavers
- Family support (including parenting assessments, domestic violence support, Interventions to families where children are subject to child protection procedures, and social care legal services)
- Supported housing and placements for care leavers
- Placements for looked after children, including residential care and private and voluntary foster care and additional services for looked after children, including contact services and post-adoption support
- Health commissioning responsibilities which will transfer to the Local Authority from April 2013 in addition to exiting Integrated Services with Health for specific groups such as children with disabilities.
- Services to support the Children's Centre programme
- Targeted services for adolescents, including specialist substance misuse provision and alternatives to remand,
- Support for children with SEN and other Complex Needs
