OUR KEY INSURANCE CLIENT URGENTLY REQUIRE SOMEONE TO JOIN THEIR TEAM IN BRISTOL AS HEAD OF HR AND COMMUNICATIONS ON A CONTRACT BASIS.

The environment in which this position must operate is complex. Employees have been seconded from the local operating company. The organization operates in 14 COUNTRIES GLOBALLY AND POLICIES, PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES MUST BALANCE THE NEED FOR CONSISTENT, COMPREHENSIBLE APPROACH with the need to respect local constraints and conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- POLICY: develop, communicate, and administer, human resources policies and practices applicable to business.
- STAFFING: manage and coordinate all staffing activities including strategy, position management, recruitment, hiring, and terminations, headcount activities and reporting
- COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: advise management on compensation and benefits issues; coordinate salary administration; counsel employees on benefits issues.
- CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS: deploy programs that will effectively merge the cultures and processes of new organizations that join the business.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: counsel management and employees in relation to such group and/or individual issues as may arise including the analysis of employee opinion surveys.
- CAREER DEVELOPMENT/COMPETENCY AND TALENT MANAGEMENT: assist management in the application of performance and skills management programs; coordinate the delivery of training programs; counsel management and employees on career development opportunities.
- BUDGETING: manage a budget to develop and deliver local training plans and recruiting budget to attract the right talent to the organization, Also work very closely with Finance on STIC pool budget.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

MANAGE REGIONAL HR OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

- Coordinate at Regional level all HR day to day support and activity
- Provide HR expertise to people related issues
- Provide HR expert guidance to Global HR projects on behalf of the Global HR Head.
- Ensure HR legal compliance framework
- Drive the development leadership capability across the regions
- Develop and grow potential and capability of the Regional HR team

CO-ORDINATE THE DEPLOYMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF GLOBAL HR TOOLS

- Lead and coordinate the implementation of HR Tools (People In)
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Regional HR reporting for Business Unit and Corporate Reporting

GLOBALISATION/REGIONALISATION

- Lead and support globalisation/regionalisation initiatives related to HR including off shoring with specific focus on the potential headcount growth for India
- Support Global Job Grading initiatives to ensure consistency and fairness

COORDINATE AND SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS

- Manage the Regional Communication Plan
- Work closely with Global Communications Team to ensure alignment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Strong HR background with proven experience on general HR pactices and processes including Compensation, Resourcing, Training and Development and Employment Law.
- Experience in transversal project management
- Strong experience working within GLOBAL, AND COMPLEX ORGANISATIONS
- At least 10 YEARS HR EXPERIENCE is required for this position
- Show intercultural understanding
- Ability to manage multiple high priority projects,
- Excellent COMMUNICATION skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the Organization and to build credibility with the customer quickly,
- Proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and be flexible in a changing business context
