Sand Resources is looking for a highly experienced Public Health Intelligence manager for this 6 month role with a local authority.

The ideal candidate must have significant and prolonged exposure to the creation of Public Health policies as well as managing teams of analysts and databases.

You will be technically astute and be able to analyse and manipulate complex datasets from large databases. You will also be able to suggest improvements to existing systems and databases in order to improve the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive statistical reports.

The successful candidate will be required to provide the statistical input for developing local policies relating to public health in conjunction with local authorities and the NHS. You will lead a team of analysts and will be responsible for ensuring that high quality and timely epidemiological advice is available. You will use this information to contribute to the long term strategic plans which coincide with government policy and enable the local authority to maximise health improvement.
