- NEBOSH CERTIFICATE IDEALLY LEVEL 4 OR ABOVE.
- A strong track record in formulating policy responses and influencing decision makers;
- Experience of working with a wide range of companies in a member-driven environment, including on issues where companies may have differing views;
- Strong networking ability;
- Ability to travel around the country to different Generation stations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

- Tracking and monitoring UK policies affecting and related to health and safety;
- Analysing policy proposals, preparing briefing notes and acting as a reliable source of information on health and safety issues for members and other staff;
- Input to our clients Generation Committee on health and safety related issues and liaising with other divisions and workstreams as appropriate;
- Maintaining a good relationship with members in order to understand their businesses and the impacts of policy proposals on them and ensure that their issues are being addressed;
- Arranging, managing and supporting working groups, including the Health and Safety Forum, the Occupational Health, Safety Rules, Contractor Engagement Working Groups and the Powering Improvement Steering Group;
- Formulating our clients position on and responses to policy proposals related to health and safety, including drafting policy papers and consultation responses, and ensuring that members agree with them;
- Providing an interface between the industry and the health and safety executive and other trade associations and influencing decision makers to secure the best outcomes for members;
- Sitting on industry forums and acting as a spokesperson for our clients members with stakeholders and other industry bodies.
