Head of Global Financial Crime & Compliance

An excellent opportunity for a director level candidate to join a world class, leading global bank in a key risk management leadership role.

As The Head of Global Retail Banking Financial Crime Compliance Operations and Technology the candidate will be responsible for driving execution of various Financial Crime Compliance work-streams while ensuring alignment of business strategy and solutions with FCC policies and Global Standards.

The role requires strong partnership with the RB business and leadership team, interfaces with FCC COO and HTS and has responsibility for driving implementation of FCC solution and controls across the retail bank and wealth management division.
It will monitor and tack the progress of various work streams and initiatives which fall under the umbrella of Financial Crime Risk and Global Standards.

The role is a critical forward looking leadership role and requires strong partnership with business to drive and accelerate the execution of Financial Crime Compliance programs that directly impact business performance and enables effective FCC risk management. It will develop a framework to manage changes due to introduction of new products, propositions, segments, customers and channels. It will also identify and manage execution risk pertaining to Global Standards and FCC initiatives while effectively coordinating across business geographies.

Lastly Supports the Head of Global Financial Crime Compliance in this role for the implementation of Financial Crime Risk Compliance policies in to the business and as such it will require close collaboration with various Risk and RBWM Business functions.

Key required Skills:

*Extensive experience of Financial Crime Risk across multiple jurisdictions
*Significant leadership experience and a strategic thinker.
*Significant experience in Risk and Operations Management together with business management, preferably from a frontline role in Commercial Banking.
*Experience of creating, leading and motivating a team.
*Broad and deep understanding of businesses, regulatory and industry issues, as well as the competitive landscape.
*Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business.
*Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
*Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex global issues.
*Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and/or data and provide succinct summary for management.
*Experience of working within a matrixed environment preferred including reporting internationally.
*Ability to lead change, contributing to joining up with the other teams in Risk and Business globally.
