Head of Risk, PPI Operations, Operations BUCF
The Operations Business Unit Control Function (BUCF) is a Governance and Control function with primary focus on control activities associated with Operational Risk and Regulatory Compliance across the Operations business areas.
Within Operations, the PPI Operations business is responsible for supporting colleagues and customers through the end to end complaints process.
The successful applicant will be a key member of the PPI Operations and BUCF leadership teams providing expertise in determining and driving risk priorities for the PPI Operations business as well as supporting the Operations Risk Director in the day to day development and leadership of the wider BUCF.

The preferred candidate will have an understanding of either the PPI Operations business or Operational Risk management in a financial services organisation. The role will also include direct and matrix line management of Business Risk colleagues who are deployed on a risk based approach across our wider geographic locations.

Key locations for the role are Cardiff, Chester and London but will require regular travel within the UK.

As this role is a high risk role, if you are successful in being offered this position, you may be required to go through additional vetting checks.

Key accountabilities
* Lead, drive and embed best practice and pragmatic Risk Management across the PPI Operations business
* Lead the Implementation of the business control assessment and support of remediation activities in line with the Business plan
* Building strong relationships within Senior Management across the PPI Operations Business Unit
* Contributing as part of the PPI Operations team and wider BUCF to overall strategy, operating model, and change design and delivery
* Proactively manage, develop and maintain intra-group relationships across the Three Lines of Defence, e.g. Group Risk, Group Audit, to optimise results in areas of common
