Head of Finance (Part-time)

PRGs client is a successful Charitable organisation based in Edinburgh who are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Finance/Financial Controller on a part-time basis.

The role will work with a small finance team and report to a Board and Chief Executive and will have core responsibility for improving the flow of financial MI, implementing and improving financial controls, strategy and business plan.

&bull Review current accounting policies and procedures
&bull Develop a robust framework of compliance
&bull Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Accounts preparation
&bull Prepare, analyse  and report financial information
&bull Variance analysis
&bull Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
&bull Control cash management / cashflow, with analysis
&bull Month end duties inc. Control account analysis, VAT Returns

This role will also require a strong analytical and project management focus i.e. review accounting systems/controls &ndash process improvement initiatives etc.

This role will suit a qualified accountant with ideally experience within either the public / charity sector or SME market place.
