Head of Engagement, Maidenhead, Berkshire

Currently recruiting for Head of Engagement to join one of the leading organisations in Maidenhead and an employer of choice.

Working within a large Leadership Team who have developed an ambitious growth strategy with clear priorities the Head of Engagement, Leadership and Management Development will work with the Director of Talent and the Senior Leadership Team to lead the development and delivery of People Capability strategy to support the achievement of Business goals.

This is a significant leadership role which has overall responsibility for developing and managing the strategies, programmes and processes that drive improved capability for Leaders and Managers. This role also drives the employee engagement strategy, supporting employer brand and internal culture change initiatives. The role will lead a team of 4 consultants, responsible for Leadership Development and Talent processes, Management Development, Employee Engagement and Performance Management processes and On-Boarding.

As Head of Engagement, this role plays a key part in the People and Property wider Leadership team, manage relationships internally with senior stakeholders including the SMT and their DRs, and externally with suppliers and manage multiple priorities across a number of programmes simultaneously.

THE ROLE:-

1 - Provide leadership and performance management of team to meet key objectives/deliverables
2 - Act as a key leader within P&P driving a one team culture
3 - Work with P&P and Business stakeholders to develop the leadership and management development strategy
4 - Lead and manage the analysis, design, planning, delivery and evaluation of all leadership and management development programmes
5 - Lead and manage the employee engagement strategy
6 - Lead an integrated Talent Strategy and Process for senior leaders, running Talent Board discussions for senior levels
7 - Lead an integrated Performance Management Strategy and process
8 - Manage supplier selection and relationships
9 - Manage budget, meet KPIs and develop and lead department governance
10 - Facilitate and coach internal leadership forums and interventions
11 - Provide individual coaching for senior leaders as identified in the Talent strategy
12 - Participate in projects as identified and directed by the Director of Talent

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:-

1 - Understanding and experience of design and delivery of Leadership and Management development programmes in a corporate environment
2 - Understanding and experience of cultural engagement programmes and strategy
3 - Understanding and experience of talent and performance management strategy
4 - Excellent people management skills, including evidence and experience of coaching and performance management of a team
5 - Credibility at a senior level and ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders enthusiastically
6 - Strong programme management and organisational skills
7 - Evidence of supplier and budget management
8 - Experience of senior group facilitation
