Head Of Direct - Insurance

My client is looking to bring an individual on board as Head of their Direct Business within General Insurance on a temporary basis.

ROLE SUMMARY -
- Overall accountability for the development and implementation of the strategic direction for the Direct business within General Insurance.
- To ensure the development of new products that meet customer needs and that existing products continue to drive value for customers and the business (supporting achievement of profit ambitions)

SKILLS REQUIRED -
- Strong financial acumen.
- Actuarial/Accountancy skills preferred.
- A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the general insurance market, products & providers.
- Experience in developing strategic responses for areas of own responsibility and as part of the broader General Insurance leadership team.
- Excellent communication skills (writtenexperience of interpreting management, market and financial information, knowledge & experience of budget setting, control & planning.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen with a full understanding of the Financial Services Market and the general insurance value chain.
- Detailed understanding of the external regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of the internal risk and governance framework and the FCA conduct regime.
