Head of Development with a strong hands-on development background with .NET technologies in an Agile environment using TDD/BDD is urgently required by a global FTSE 250 in Central London.

The successful Head of Development will ideally have a strong, relevant academic background, a proven pedigree in .NET development, excellent project and line management  skills and deep knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

Extensive experience of .NET programming, database design and systems management will be complimented by proven managerial ability with multiple reports, both in-house and offshore.

This is a fantastic and progressive opportunity for a talented, driven and ambitious Head of Development to join a global FTSE 250 who are committed to utilising the latest tools, technologies and methods to drive the business forward. Heads of Development with previous experience of establishing Agile, TDD or BDD and best practices will be of particular interest.

Exposure, interest or experience with any of the following would prove useful, although this is a hands-off position:

* .NET 4 based TDD & BDD (CastleWindsor, Ninject, Spring.NET, nHibernate, RhinoMocks, SpecFlow, Continuous Integration etc)
* MVC/Entity
* Sitecore, Drupal, Umbraco, Joomla etc
* No SQL: MongoDB, CouchDB, Marklogic, eXist etc
* REST

The successful Head of Development will play a critical role in the continued advancement of the team and the technical environment, managing in-house and offshore teams, demonstrating excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.

This Head of Development position will suit a tenacious, highly motivated and team-focused individual with excellent technical knowledge around the Microsoft .NET stack, Agile and Open Source technologies combined with proven team and stakeholder management and analytical skills.
