Head of Design & Implementation

An interim Head of Design & Delivery is needed for a 6 month position with our financial services client based in Edinburgh. The right candidate must have a proven track record of performing a Head of Business Architecture or Design role within a large complex organisation, preferably within retail banking.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate leadership of solution design activity at a high level and will be responsible for producing the target operating model blueprint and championing a clear and consistent roadmap for expanding and augmenting operational banking functions. While the ability to manage large design and delivery teams is a clear requirement, this is not anticipated as a key function of this role.

Candidates will have a clear appreciation of the need to recognise implementation, integration and operational constraints within the design.The ability to present challenges and issues to non-technical colleagues will be essential, as well as understanding the balance between commercial, design and policy activities. You should be comfortable working with Director level stakeholders and have an excellent track record of successfully managing key third parties.
