An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high profile client, based in Nottingham. The Head of Corporate Communications will ensure that all communications activities are properly managed so that stakeholders, staff and media understand strategic direction, policies and programmes.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage staff to deliver a high quality communications service to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the delivery of communication plans
- Implement communications strategy and set standards for corporate communications
- Manage the effective delivery of a press office
- Oversee the development of a PR function according to corporate strategy

Key Skills and Experiences:
- Substantial experience of holding senior communications positions (5 years+)
- Previous experience of running a press office within public sector (ideally government)
- Experience of designing and implementing communications plans
- Extensive knowledge of both internal and external communications
- Experience of leading a communications team
- CIPR or NCTJ qualifications desirable

Candidates with experience of working in the public sector and in particular government are highly desirable.
