NHS MENTAL HEALTH CONTRACTS MANAGER - £350-£400 PER DAY BAND 8B

Real Staffing are collaborating with a successful NHS Trust in the South East of England who are looking for an 8b interim Mental Health Contracts Manager to manage their Mental Health portfolio.

The Mental Health Contracts Manager will be expected to support the team already in place & maintain the relationships with the surrounding providers & Commissioners. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong background within NHS Mental Health Contracting.

The role will be for an initial 3 months paying between £350-£400 per day depending on experience.

As the Mental Health Contracts Manager, your primary duties & responsibilities will include:

- Managing the multi million pound MH Contracts portfolio
- Report back to the board on financial & technical aspects of the contracts
- Managing the relationships with all customers & hold them to account for any discrepancies with pricing but also work collaboratively with them in order to achieve desired goals
- Manage smaller low value contracts where needed
- Matrix between Contract, Finance & BI teams to ensure all teams are working collaboratively
- Maintain existing relationships with the providers & internal board
- Ensure robust contract function is in place & being adhered to
- Make sure all paperwork is logged & admin levels are to a high standard

As the Mental Health Contracts Manager, you will be required to have the below skills:

- Expert Mental Health contracting knowledge
- In depth knowledge of NHS Standard Contract
- Persuasive nature but also ability to see both sides of a negotiation
- Relationship building skills
- Politically astute
- Proven ability to manage multiple multi million pound contracts
- NHS Trust experience is essential
- Experience of reporting to board
- Exposure to a BI & Finance team will be useful
- High level communication skills

Due to the nature of this role it is essential that candidates have prior experience of Mental Health contract management.
