Head Of Continuing Care

The Company

Robert Half Management Resources is currently working with an NHS CCG based in North East London, there is a current requirement for an Interim Head of Continuing Care for a period of at least 3 months, with the potential for contract extension.North

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading this CCG on the strategic commissioning and development of services for Continuing Health Care; this includes the development and implementation of policies in relation to NHS Framework for continuing Health Care for local residents.

You will work closely with partners in other health, social care, private providers and voluntary organisations to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective assessment services and deliver high quality for money services for eligible patients.

You will be responsible for the development of systems and processes to maximise the efficiency of the service, ensuring the provision of QIPP targets are met. You will ensure strong contractual governance of commissioned care through the provision of robust service contracts, and by undertaking quality monitoring meetings with providers.

To be considered for this role you MUST satisfy the following criteria:

- Proven Management responsibility of teams (up to 5 members)
- Previous experience working within an NHS CCG or CSU environment
- Proven track record in commissioning, managing, assessing and QIPP of CHC service
- Proven relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to develop and implement policies
- Ability to communicate highly complex and sensitive information
- Proven ability to manage service budgets
- Ability to manage change within complex organisations

This is a hands-on role and requires someone who is familiar with NHS framework and best practice.
