Head of Communications and Engagement-NHS, QIPP

The Head of Communications and Engagement supports the client in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning and commissioning and by working across the full range of the organisation's communications and engagement portfolio. The post holder provides expert advice, information and skills on communications and engagement for the client and is specifically responsible for all internal and external communications and engagement.

Experience of working closely with and advising senior executives
Experience of managing crisis situations, including media responses, advising executives on handling and influencing other organisations and communications professionals on their approach
Experience in managing stakeholder relations in a public or private sector organisation outside the health sphere
Experience of a range of patient, service-user and public engagement techniques and practice
Understanding of the government/public sector agenda
Sound knowledge of the NHS, key relationships with external stakeholders, local NHS issues and the national context within which they sit
