Head of Development, Consumer to Consumer (C2C)

Consumer to consumer buying and selling is how the client began, and remains core to the business today. The market is becoming increasingly competitive in the UK and we are looking to develop the business further to adapt to this. This role focuses on developing new, innovative solutions and partnerships to fuel growth in the C2C business and respond to the competitive threats we face. The new team member will report to the Director of C2C and will form part of the core UK C2C team

Responsibilities
* Developing and driving the strategy for the development side of UK C2C, working closely with colleagues from Germany and US
* Developing and implementing innovative approaches to acquiring new sellers as part of this strategy
* Executing these approaches, from pilot through to scale
* Building relationships with partners, negotiating commercials and driving on-going operations
* Tracking and measuring impact; pivoting, shutting down or scaling projects as necessary
* Effectively managing stakeholders

Preferred Experience/Skills

* Business development: Developing ideas and taking them through to scale
* eCommerce: Ideally in consumer selling business, giving a good understanding of the market and competition
* Execution: Having implemented similar projects in the past
* Strategy development: Either in industry or through consultancy
* Customer focus: Solving for our customers comes first
* Action bias: Takes ownership and prefers to move quickly, working around challenges/obstacles

Job Requirements

* Fluent English speaker
* Degree level education or equivalent
* Highly mobile, computer and Internet literate
