CHIEF DATA SCIENTIST VACANCY

Our client is a world leader in the marketing space. They are looking for someone who has what it takes to help them manage one of the coolest interactive consumer services in the market. The purpose is to deliver insights on how they can not only gather and use data but turn it into growth. The successful candidate will need to be interested in leveraging their analytical prowess to lead data-based decisions to tackle strategic challenges and opportunities?

For the candidate to be successful it is essential that they have the ability to unlock the value in data, helping the teams around them make better decisions that can be turned into action.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- MUST have experience with "Advertising Real Time Bidding (RTB)
- Experience with SAS, SQL, JAVA or C++ is a must
- Experience with at least 4 of the following Big Data tools/technologies; Hadoop, MongoDB, Mahout, NoSQL, MapReduce, Hive, Hbase, Python
- Experience using a statistical software package (eg R or Matlab)
- Hands on NLP & Predictive Analysis experience.
- A strong track record of applying Machine Learning is vital
- BSc/MSc in Math's, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or related
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics or Statistics or similar is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of energetic innovation and creative vision and achieving results
