Head of Academy

HEAD OF ACADEMY

Our client based in Central London is currently looking to on board a Head of Academy. This is to work for a government based organisation on a contract basis for 2 months initially with a possible extension. The client is looking to on board people as soon as possible.

For this role the correct candidate will have experience as Head of an Academy/Training in the past focussed around Change & Transformation. You will lead the development of the academy as a centre of excellence within the organisation. The correct candidate will lead the delivery and development of training programmes and seminars to provide core professional training and to enhance both hard and soft skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and prioritise current and future knowledge and skill needs in partnership with profession leaders, along with identifying and sourcing presenters and initiate and prepare Intranet communications ideally from within CMA to avoid cost, coaching as appropriate
- Lead development of seminars and presentations based on analysis of needs seeking to maximise delivery productivity by consolidating delegate availability, interest and skill needs across the CMA
- Work with teams across the CMA to ensure that legal and economic developments are reflected in rolling training programmes and materials and in the development of new seminars
- Champion the value and importance of the Academy as an essential element of ongoing transformation and to support continued development
- Evaluate academy and seminar effectiveness by maintaining and analysing statistics to influence improvement or development needs and provide feedback to presenters to enhance future presentations
- Build and develop relationships within the CMA to embed and develop effective Matrix working, notably with the Chief Economic Advisor and the Office of the General Counsel

- Educated to Degree Level or Qualified by Experience
