Hbase Database Architect

SENIOR HBASE/ORACLE DATABASE/DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT-3 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE/DIRECT HIRE-DOWNTOWN SAN FRANCISCO, CA
We are seeking a SENIOR HBASE/ORACLE DATABASE/DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT to work for one of the world s top retail manufacturers. This individual will be working as an individual contributor with a team of architects and will be responsible for Hbase d atabase structure, configuration, installation and practice. This project involves a migration from Oracle to Apache Hbase and the mager is looking for only the best of the best! Solid experience/understanding of Retail/E-commerce industry and best practices a must for this role. This is a high profile role requiring solid written and verbal communication skills and a true consultant mentality. This is not a management role but rather hands on Database Architect opportunity.

Required Skills:

- Must have strong E-commerce experience - catalog systems preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of APACHE HBASE AND ORACLE DATABASE ARCHITECTURE
- Will be working as an individual contributor with a team of architects.
- Senior Oracle Database developer preferred (but this role more focused on the HBase side then Oracle side)
- Experience in large data systems architecture
- Hadoop/"Big Data" experience preferred
- Retail/POS systems strongly preferred
- WebSphere E-commerce platform experience preferred but not required
