Hardware Validation Technician

HARDWARE TECHNICIAN SANTA CLARA, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The Hardware Tech will troubleshoot platforms, get the platforms ready for Software Engineers to test on with the necessary system configuration such as the right CPU version, memory type, etc., upgrading the BIOS, installing different OS such as Windows, Linux, etc. on the platform.

Candidates must have the ability to interface with the Software Engineers in the team, read the test case for a platform and test the respective software for the test cases and report the results to the Software Engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Troubleshoot hardware platforms.
- Install different OS on hardware platforms.
- Run different benchmarks, collect data, arrange them into Excel and provide to Engineers.
- Support the software engineers with day to day support in the lab.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Familiarity with different OS such as Linux, Windows, MAC OS
- Familiarity with BIOS installation
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word
- Team player, good communication skills
- Ability to work in a lab, setup systems, collect, organize data
- Software Automation skills preferred
