HARDWARE TECHNICIAN - PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

A fantastic opportunity for a Hardware Technician to work within the Product Development team at a leading Pay-TV broadcaster. You will join the team on a contract role for 3 months, for a rate of £80-£120p/d Dependent on experience.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years experience as technician on Consumer Electronics Devices.

YOU WILL BE:- - Involved in build, test and measurement of hardware prototypes as well as maintaining adequate supplies of essential components and monitoring test equipment.
- Part of the dynamic Hardware Design Team.
- Supporting Engineers to develop the very latest Products.
- Everything from wiring modifications to full PCB assemblies.
- Responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative environment.
- Highly motivatied

YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE STRENGTH IN THE FOLLOWING:

- Soldering to a high standard
- PCB Assembly to IPC standards with attention to detail
- Proficient at test and measurement of electrical circuits.
- Adept PC user with experience of report writing and collating results in Excel.

THE CLIENT WILL ALSO BE INTERESTED IN SEEING:

- HNC/HND in Electronics
- Fault finding, Testing and reporting.
- Experience of BGA rework.
- Schematic Capture tools (CAD)
- Thermal measurement
