Hardware Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a HARDWARE TECHNICIAN to join our client in Tacoma, WA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Hardware Test Technician will be responsible for PERFORMING HARDWARE TESTING in a rapid and effective manner.
- Hardware Test Technician will be responsible for DEBUGGING HARDWARE as issues arise.
- HW Test Technician will also diagnose and repair hardware issues with our engineering platforms.
- HW Test Technician will be in charge of tracking inventory for engineering tablet platforms, also important lab equipment and test equipment, may also involve planning and ordering of engineering platforms and components.
- HW Test Technician must also be willing to need to take calls on off hours, need to come in early or stay late as needed.
- HW Test Technician will perform rework on boards, which may require soldering components onto boards.
- Willing to travel on occasion to other sites in case the job requires engagement with other teams to get equipment ready/repaired.
- Other duties include, SUSTAINING OPERATIONS (INSERTING AND REMOVING CPUS), PERFORM SOLDERING, AND MAINTAIN GENERAL CLEANLINESS AND WIRE MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A two (2) year technical degree or equivalent work experience is REQUIRED.
- MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH TEST/LAB EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS SOLDERING STATION, SCOPE, DEDIPROG, XYLINX FPGA ETC.
- Able to learn and implement new skills on how to implement reworks to lab equipment and boards.
- Two plus (2+) years of experience in a COMPUTER SYSTEMS LAB conducting system building, testing and debugging.
- Able to operate test equipment including MULTI METERS, DVM, ANALYZERS and assorted hand tools.
- Experience in TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING ANALOG ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS to the component level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Linux Environment.
- Experience with both Hardware and Software test cases execution.
- Assembly/Integration experience.
- AS in EE or related.
