Hardware Reliability Lab Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a HARDWARE RELIABILITY LAB ENGINEER to join our client in Cupertino, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Hardware Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for the test validation of our next generation devices. You should have a good understanding of Reliability statistics/Reliability tests and/or solid understanding of consumer electronics to influence design for reliability to:
- Identify and validate product risks and work with design teams to mitigate them.
- Define test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability.
- Hands on experimental design and execution.
- Perform Reliability prediction of failure mechanisms, products under development and products in the field.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related fields.
- Two plus (2+) years in reliability engineering or consumer electronics.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with Failure analysis techniques: Cross sectioning, Dye and Pry, SEM analysis and electrical debug.
- Experience with fatigue testing, vibration and shock testing, electrical stress, and environmental stress.
- Strong communication skills in writing and presenting.
