Hardware Lab Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a HARDWARE LAB ENGINEER to join our client in Cupertino, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Our client is looking for a very experienced reliability test candidate wanting to be involved in the design/operation of equipment to measure shock, strain and electrical properties of electronic modules under different stresses. The Hardware Lab Engineer Consultant will be responsible for the setting up and running of experiments to help Reliability research scientists and engineers understand emerging technologies for the next generation of products. In addition you will be responsible for the testing of prototypes and field products.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Seven (7) plus years of technical work in reliability engineering/electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Strong hands on test, debug and failure analysis skills.
- Operation of Environmental chambers.
- Test set up for electrical characterization.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Familiarity with cross sectioning and failure analysis.
- Debug of electronic boards.
- Troubleshooting with oscilloscopes.
- Consumer electronics reliability testing.
- Degree in Physical Sciences/Engineering.
- Familiarity with mechanical intsron testing or equivalent.
