Hardware/Firmware Engineer - FPGA Design & Verification

Location: Midlands

Duration: Initially 3 months which will likely extend to at least 9-12months+

Rate: £35-40 per hour

Experienced hardware electronics/firmware/FPGA electronics engineer required to design interfaces and write Verilog firmware to enable communications and control between bespoke equipment. The project involves completion of firmware design, coding, prototyping, build and evaluation testing as well as documentation.

It is expected that applicants will have a proven record in all aspects of hardware and firmware design with several years "hands on" experience and the ability to work quickly and efficiently within a multi-skilled engineering team. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of an experienced engineer with overall responsibility for the electronics package associated with the project.

Skills/experience required:
Provide evidence of designing hardware (FPGA) using Altera or Actel or XiLinx Devices,
Knowledge and use of Verilog
Able to work to deadlines.
Good team player and has initiative.
