Hardware Electrical Validation Engineer m/f

For our customer we are currently looking for an Hardware Electrical Validation Engineer (m/f) with high-speed interface KnowHow.

Description:

The position is supporting the Engineering Department of the Transportation Solutions Division (TSD) in Karlsruhe (Germany). You will be supporting the hardware development team, specifically validating and analysing the electrical health and characteristics of the hardware function blocks on TSD’s hardware products.

Scope of work:

- HW electrical validation (EV) of TSD HW products and customer designs (automotive compute modules, system function blocks in customer designs).
- Pre-compliance measurements of high-speed interface parameters on USB2.0/3.0/3.1, S-ATA Gen3, PCIe Gen3, SDIO, LPDDR4 etc. interfaces.
- Environmental (e.g. thermal) validation and EMC pre-compliance/compliance testing.
- Proper documentation (reports) of EV activities.
- Hardware development support.

Qualifications:

- Preferred: Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years' experience in bring up and validation of automotive or embedded HW products.
- Good knowledge and skills in embedded systems and interfaces like: USB, PCIe, S-ATA, I2C, I2S, UART, SPI, SDIO, CAN, Ethernet, HDMI, DP, MIPI, LVDS…
- Very experienced in usage of latest measurement equipment (DSO, VNA, SA).
- Interest in "high-end" products and systems for automotive and transportation applications.
- Must have good English language skills, both written & verbal
- Must have excellent ability to generate and clearly present technical data (MS Office etc).
- Must have very good knowledge in ECAD tools (Mentor, Cadence, PSpice etc.).
