Hardware Development Engineer

Role:

The Process Safety Technology group specializes in the development of complex safety and control system products. The R&D Department in Maldon (UK) has a vacancy for a Hardware Development Engineer to work within the existing Hardware Development Team. This role requires involvement in all aspects of the Design & Development of new Safety Related Products from Requirements to Production.

Main responsibilities:

- Taking supplied Hardware requirements and working as part of the team to complete detailed design for Analogue, Digital and Power applications from conception to inception.
- Schematics capture and Component selection.
- PCB requirements capture and generation of Gerber files.
- Supporting V&V and product testing activities including functional, environmental and EMC tests.

Job requirements:

- A good degree, or equivalent, in a relevant Engineering Subject.
- Knowledge of DX Designer or OrCAD
- Ideally at least 2 years experience in Hardware Development within an industrial context.
- Some knowledge of PLCs and/or Safety Products would be an advantage.
- A good team worker capable of contributing positively to multidisciplinary design teams.
