Hardware Design Engineer

I am looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Hardware Designer to join my client for an initial 6 month contract located in Cambridge

The right candidate must have a broad knowledge of designs for Digital and Analogue circuits encompassing PIC and Power Electronics components. Knowledge of serial communications is also required.

Extensive design experience in the mixed environment of digital and analogue electronics at
frequencies up to 100's of kHz. This would include logic circuits, op-amps, DAC's, ADC's, etc.
Design skill in variable output (10-50W)DC:DC switch-mode converters would be advantageous.
Extensive design skill in specifying and designing with PICs.
Ability to design communications interfaces: Ethernet, RS232, USB, for example.
Circuit design and analysis in PSpice, including worst case corner analysis and Monte Carlo analysis.
Ability to accurately create production documentation from designs.
Ability to use typical lab equipment; oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc
Ability to modify prototypes by hand (skill with manual soldering, hand tools, etc)
Ability to design products and specify components for compliance with CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE.
PCB layout skills would be highly advantageous (EasyPC).
Ability to work with a developing New Product Introduction system.
