Hadoop Developer Spain

Our client a leading provider of financial software to the banking industry is looking for a Hadoop developer for a long project in Barcelona/Madrid Spain.

Experience required of Hadoop, Big Data, Data Warehouse, Hive, Impala, MapReduce, Cascading, Pig, Kafka, HDFS, HBase, Storm, Spark, Shark, ETL, Cognos, SAS, Teradata, Lead, Manager

You will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration/data warehouse solutions using Hadoop. You would be expected to be highly proficient in the use of Hadoop and standard Data Integration and Manipulation techniques.

You will translate business requirements into technical implementations.

Skills/Experience required:

- Hands on technical experience with high proficiency in Hadoop
- Knowledge of Hadoop engineering concepts including: Object Orientated programming, Functional programming, Database, Networks, Operating system, Algorithms, Data Structures, Distributed computing
- Understanding of Hadoop concepts including: Hive, Impala, MapReduce, Cascading, Pig, Kafka,
- Experience with programming language including: Java, Scala, Bash, C/C++
- Experience with one or more additional technologies such as: Ab Initio, Informatica, Teradata, SAS, Cognos
- Excellent problem solving and stakeholder management skills
