My client is looking for a senior Java developer with very strong hadoop experience.
SENIOR JAVA ENGINEER - CLOUD/HADOOP
YOU WILL BE WORKING ON CLOUD-BASED COMPONENTS USING LEADING EDGE TECHNOLOGIES TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A GENUINE INTEREST IN LEARNING NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND A DEMONSTRATED HISTORY OF UNDERSTANDING AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE TOTAL END-TO-END SOLUTION. GOOD COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Degree in technology related area
- 4+ years Java programming experience
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming methodologies
- Experience developing massive volume data crunching/reporting solutions
- JAVA DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE (HADOOP, PIG, HIVE, CASSANDRA ETC)
- Creative problem solver with analytical approach
- Experience with Python or other Scripting language
- Hands-on experience with common developer tools (Ant, Eclipse, SVN etc.)
- Knowledge of XML/SOAP and Web services
- Test driven development
- Strong experience working in Linux environments
- Experience in database technologies and development such as Oracle, OLAP or MySQL a plus
- Data mining/pattern detection a huge plus
- Experience in Telecommunications industry a plus
- Reporting Front End development a plus
