Hadoop Architect - Eindhoven - long term Contract

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for a Hadoop Architect for a client in the South of the Netherlands.

Job Mission

The Hadoop architect is shaping the target architecture on Hadoop within the overall big data architecture.

Job Description

You are responsible for creating, maintaining and improving the Hadoop architecture for the companies' Central Data Lake on Hadoop. For this we are looking for candidates with 10 years plus total experience of which at least three years should have working experience in the Apache Hadoop framework (MUST), HDFS, MapReduce, Spark, Python, PySpark (MUST), Flume, Sqoop and Oozie. Experienced in working in development teams, using agile techniques. As Hadoop architect you will be setting guidelines for our big data development teams, create and discuss designs with our business information analysts and developers.

Profile:
- Big Data Hadoop architect with software engineering back-ground
- Full working knowledge of SQL. Ability to identify and translate use cases into Hadoop.
- Experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution. Preferably Cloudera Manager and Navigator, HUE, Impala (MUST), Solr and Kudu (MUST)
- Technical Leading Skill.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer/Information Sciences
- Excellent English language skills

Education

HBO+ level or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

- 10+ years of experience in relevant business and/or IT roles;
- Architectural frameworks like TOGAF and describing architecture with Archimate.
