HADOOP ADMINISTRATOR

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a HADOOP ADMINISTRATOR with strong Scripting experience and Batch ETL. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. ROLE:

- Engineering of data pipelines (primarily batch, increasingly intra-day/near-Real Time)
- Integration and evaluation of new big data and data science technologies
- Development of platform components
- Consultation to application groups on how best to utilise the platform and technologies
- Engagement with groups for PoCs and full platform on-boarding

SKILLS:

- Detailed knowledge of core services
- Experience with Kerberos enabled clusters
- Experience with streaming services (Kafka, Flume)
- Knowledge of Batch ETL (Hive, PIG, Spark)
- Strong Scripting experience
- Cloudera/Hortenworks
- Excellent communication skills
